We are excited to reveal that for the first time at the Festival we will have an industry-first virtual reality experience, for Thomas R Weaver’s explosive debut, Artificial Wisdom.

In partnership with Transworld, Limina Immersive and Zubr, we’re giving Capital Crime Festival attendees the chance to step directly into the crime scene - examining the evidence, chasing clues, and testing their instincts in the year 2050.

In Artificial Wisdom, readers meet Marcus Tully, an investigative journalist in the year 2050, who finds himself at the centre of a global conspiracy. The world is in the teeth of a climate catastrophe, with an ongoing election for global leader: the final two candidates are ex-US President Lockwood, and Solomon, the world’s first political artificial intelligence. When Solomon’s creator, Martha, is murdered, Tully must turn detective and solve the crime to save the future.

Readers can step into Martha’s apartment through VR and examine the scene of the crime, identify crucial clues, and look to avoid misleading red herrings that will help solve the case.

Limited walk-up bookings will be available on the day, but we strongly recommend arriving early to secure a place.
