Kathy Reichs: Celebrating 25+ Years of Temperence Brennan
In conversation with world-leading forensic anthropologist and author Sue Black
Capital Crime is thrilled to present an exclusive one-off event and reception with crime writing legend and perennial Sunday Times bestseller, Kathy Reichs. A master of the genre, her Temperence Brennan novels, and its subsequent TV spin-off Bones, have kept audiences gripped for decades.
In a rare UK appearance, Kathy will be in conversation with renowned Scottish forensic anthropologist Professor Lady Sue Black in the intimate and atmospheric walls of one of Europe’s oldest surviving surgical theatres. She will discuss her game-changing forensic work and how she translated that to page; as well as reflecting on how the series, and Tempe, have evolved over the years alongside her. There may also be a sneak peak at what the future has in store…
Additionally, attendees will receive late night access to the magical museum space, complimentary drinks, an opportunity to get your hands on one-of-a-kind merchandise – and, of course, the chance to meet the woman herself.
Tickets for this unforgettable evening are extremely limited, so be sure to grab them quick!
Please note that the Old Operating Theatre Museum is a Grade II* listed building, and there is a narrow spiral staircase to reach to the venue on the top floor (there is a small access lift available for those who require it).
Additionally, the Theatre space was originally constructed without in-built seating: attendees will have the option to either stand (there are railings to lean against) or sit on the tiered levels with the cushions provided. We encourage you to reach out if you have any accessibility needs that would make this unsuitable for further discussion.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to read the access notes for the venue before booking.
Doors from 18:40.
